Neuer began his career with Schalke 04, where he won both the DFB-Pokal and the DFL-Ligapokal. He joined Bayern Munich in 2011 and has since won 27 trophies, including ten Bundesliga titles and two UEFA Champions League titles, both as part of trebles, in 2013 and 2020.

He assisted Miroslav Klose’s opening goal in Germany’s 4–1 victory over England. Four years later, Neuer won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany, as well as the Golden Glove award for the tournament’s best goalkeeper.
Further, In the 87th minute of the 2020 UEFA Super Cup, Neuer saved a one-on-one chance from Sevilla’s YoussefEn-Nesyri, which Bayern Munich won 2–1 after extra time. Neuer won the German Super Cup six days later.
Neuer recorded his 200th clean sheet with Bayern in 394 matches on October 21, 2020, in a 4–0 win over Atlético Madrid in the 2020–21 UEFA ChampionsLeague. Sepp Maier now has a better record than Neuer. On August 28, 2021, Neuer recorded his 205th clean sheet in 441 Bundesliga games, breaking Oliver Kahn’s record of 204 clean sheets in 557 games.
